Victorian Outdoor Christmas Decorating Ideas

Today is Thanksgiving Eve and I'm glad my daughter is hosting dinner this year so I can focus on decking the halls (and porch) for the holidays. It's going to be a busy weekend! My holiday house tour is next Wednesday, December 2nd and I'm scurrying around putting final details on everything. But for now, I'd like to take a little break and share a collection of pretty ideas for decorating a Christmas porch.

Here's my holiday porch from last year. I like it, but want to do something a little different. Hubby cleaned off the porch for me today so I could get started on it. Too bad I still don't know what I wanna do with it. Does that happen to you?

Lucky for me, I have talented friends that give me loads of decorating inspiration!

A pretty puppy decked out in a plaid scarf takes center stage on Lucy's porch at Craftberry Bush. I love the trees flanking the door and the touches of red in the form of boots and Coca Cola crates. Lucy never disappoints!

And then there's Liz' cozy porch at Liz Marie Blog, with its welcoming swing, plump pillows, and buffalo check throw.  Makes me want to sit on the swing with a cup of cocoa!

Alice created a rustic Nordic style front porch over at Thoughts from Alice. The tree stumps lend an earthy feel and snow on the porch floor makes me want to pick up those ice skates for a spin on the rink.

I'm thinking of adorning my front door with a swag this year, like Julie from Redhead Can Decorate did with her door. The candy canes and striped bow add a festive touch.
